    The rules of the race!

 

  Annual membership fee is $35.00. Daily race fee is $15.00 a set. Special event fees will be determined for each event ie: eelpout 500, money runs and powder puff races. Non members may race in special events for an additional $10 plus the entry fee for the event. Non members can race for a additional $10 fee for only one points day. They must join the club and pay the $35 membership fee after that to race on any points days. The $10 fee will be applied to the membership fee. There is no credit. You must pay to race.

      

      Drivers must be a licensed driver.

      

      You must be a paid member in good standing to earn points and vote at meetings. Points go to the car number. The point’s season will run for 8 weeks or 16 sets of races weather/ice conditions permitting.

      

      All race cars must be trailered or towed to the track.

      

      Hot laps start at 11:00 and the drivers meeting will be held at 11:45. ALL DRIVERS ARE TO BE SIGNED IN BEFORE THE DRIVERS MEETING OR THEY WILL BE PLACED IN THE CONSOLATION RACE!!!! Racing will start after the drivers meeting. It is mandatory that you attend the drivers meeting. Drivers not attending the meeting will forfeit their heat race and automatically be placed into the consolation race. If you’re late to the consolation race it’s at the flag mans discretion if and where you start.

      

      Any driver/crew member under 18 must turn in a signed consent form from their parents/guardian before they can participate. Crew members must be at least 13 years old and wear seat belts. It is the driver’s responsibility to make sure their car is safe for the crew.

      

      There will be no cars on the track while it is being plowed.

      

      There will be a safety inspection of all cars on the first day. All new race cars will be inspected before they are allowed to race.

      

      Any fines assessed to a driver must be paid before they will be allowed to race or practice.

      

      The towing rig and car are the only vehicles allowed in the pit area. If your pit area is left dirty you will receive a reprimand for the first offense and assessed $50 for the second. PLEASE KEEP THE RACE TRACK AND PIT AREA CLEAN.

      

      No fighting on the track or in the pits. Anyone behaving inappropriately will be required to leave for the rest of the day. There will be no refund if you are required to       

leave. Any driver acting in an unsportsman like manner will be disqualified for the rest of the day, fined $100, lose their points for the day and be required to leave the pit and track area. (Officials discretion) Complaints are to be taken to the head flag man between races or the board members.

 

IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT ANY CALLS MADE BY THE FLAGMEN YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE A BOARD MEMBER WITH YOU TO GET AN EXPLANATION. THERE WILL BE NO DISCUSSING OR ARGUING WITH THE FLAGMEN OR YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEAVE AND FORFEIT YOUR ENTRY FEES.

 

 

 

       NO SWEARING AT OR ARGUING WITH ANY OFFICIAL     

      Race cars are only allowed on the track on racedays and during a club sanctioned event. There will be a $100 fine assessed to anyone violating this rule. No cars on the track before 10:30 am on race days. When the red flag is displayed at the head flag man stand no one is allowed on the track.

      

                

      CAR INFORMATION V8 & V6

      

      Cars will be checked for rule compliance. Car numbers must be at least 16 X 16 inches tall and in contrasting colors on top of the car. Only two digit numbers and no letters. All headlights, loose moldings, rear tail lights, etc. MUST be removed from the car.

 

       EVERY race car will have brake lights in working condition mounted above the back window on the roof. The lights must be at least 3 inches round. They are to be placed at least 26 inches apart. THE CARS STOCK BRAKE LIGHTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE USED FOR THIS.

A white light 3 inches round or 2 1/2 X 4 minimum will be mounted on the center of the roof and will come on when the ignition switch is turned into the run position. 

Front and back brakes must all work. Cars with ABS brakes may be jacked off the ice to verify that the rear brakes work.

 

       YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RACE IF YOUR CAR DOES NOT HAVE FOUR WORKING BRAKES AND

       THE LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!!

 

       All cars will have a tow point on the front and rear (I.E. a chain loop) or we will not pull you out.

 

       NO studs or bolts on the rear wheels. NO TRACTION ENHANCEMENT DEVICES ARE ALLOWED.  Car doors must latch securely. CARS ONLY!! at least 108 inch wheelbase (No trucks, vans, compacts, etc.) Bumpers MUST be secure and have NO sharp edges. All weight must be secured in the car. SALT IS NOT ALLOWED AS WEIGHT!!!!! Biodegradable antifreeze is mandatory. Only one crew member is allowed in the front seat. A maximum of three people will be allowed in the rear seat. No one is allowed to ride in the third seat area of station wagons.

             

       RACE INFORMATION

      

       Drivers will draw for starting positions when they sign in on the first day and for any special events. They will be lined up by the race points of that day after that. After the first set of races is completed drivers will be lined up by their total points. There will be approximatly 10 cars per heat race. If there are 3 heats there may be 2 consolation races. Consolation drivers will be lined up in the feature according to their finishing order. Cars will line up in the staging area and proceed onto the track in the order assigned. Racing will start as they approach the main flag man. There will be no parade lap. FEATURE RACES WILL BE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 16 CARS. See the lineup boards for number of cars going to feature from each race and number of consi races that will be run for each set. There will be a random inversion of the cars advanced from the heat races to the feature.

      

 

       If a car is having trouble in the staging area they will be allowed 10 minutes for repairs. DO NOT LEAVE the line up if there are no problems with your car. One full lap must be completed by all cars to establish the lead car. In the event that one lap is not completed one restart is allowed. The car causing the restart will go to the back of the lineup. All restarts are at the flag mans discretion. If all 4 tires leave the track, the car is disqualified from the rest of the race.

 

      NOTIFY THE FLAGMAN OR POINT VEHICLE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE YOUR RACE SO WE DON'T

      WASTE TIME WAITING ON YOU.

       NO EXITING STUCK OR NON RUNNING CARS!!!!! Stay in your car till the race is over.

 

 

 

 

       If the flag man determines there is a hazard he may stop the race and have the

       hazard removed.   

 

 

 

 

       IF YOU HIT A STUCK CAR YOU WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED!!!

 

      

       ALL RULINGS WILL BE MADE BY THE FLAG MEN

       BE AWARE OF ALL FLAGMEN!!!!

      

       Pit area speed limit is 5 MPH.

      

       RACE CARS ARE TO STAY IN THE PIT AREA OR RACE TRACK. Any cars violating this rule

       will be required to leave with no refund.

      

       Remember safety is our #1 concern. If you have a problem please bring it to

       someone’s attention so it can be taken care of.

      

       CLEAN UP ALL SPILLS THOROUGHLY.

       PLEASE KEEP THE LAKE CLEAN BY PICKING UP CIG BUTTS AND TRASH!
